Most people would agree that gas appliances are far more efficient then their electric cousins, and that is where landlords look to save some money. It is no secret that paying the bills in a rented apartment is where the landlord looks to save himself some money. Why is that? Well because he knows that if he pays the bills then they will get paid and that way he will save the time and energy that it takes to have them reconnected. This is the type of unit that will limit the amount of gas that is pushed through the appliance and thereby saving money. Most often in a rental you will find that the majority of the gas is used through the stove and the furnace. To help with this matter you need to limit the amount of gas to the stove so the appliance cannot be used for heating. This is a major concern as this can cause a fire in the home.

All in all most of the rental property owners in the world will find it much easier to run with gas appliances. There is nothing that can be gained by making a unit all electric. Most often you will find that the bills will be about three to four times higher in an all electric unit than in those that run with the gas appliances. Water heaters should also be converted to the gas versions as they are best run in this kind of condition.
